Peel Police are investigating an incident where three persons posing as police officers went to a Mississauga residence and stole a large amount of money.

The incident happened on Wednesday when three suspects went to the victim’s residence on Deer Run posing as police officers and telling the victim that he owed a quantity of money.

The elderly victim compiled with the request and gave them in access of $900000 in Canadian and US currency. Police said one of the suspects is a white female who is about 40 years old, wears dark hair. She speaks with a polish accent. The second suspect is male, white, average build and short dark hair. The third suspect is described as male, white and average build. The suspects were wearing dark clothing.

Warning the public, police said its officers always provide photo identification to identify themselves as police officers. Police officers also never make requests seeking money.
